The first published proof of the mirrOracle journal arrived in the mail a couple of days ago. I am so excited to be moving forward with such clear momentum on this project.

At the core, the mirrOracle Journal presents you with the space to examine all the parts that make you whole. This Journal is dedicated to all those wish to to participate in their own journey, and journal there way to a deeper more honest embrace of themselves. It is for all those who are actively embracing their day and how they wish to relate to their inner and outer world.

I am in the process of editing the pages, clarifying my intentions and preparing the final draft of the first edition to be shared soon. This project has sparked so much inspiration in me that I am also creating a series of giclee prints in color and black & white, to be offered soon.

This week was the first opportunity I had in that last 4 months to update the Kurious website with all the new projects in progress.

The updated website now features some of the new art I have been inspired to create as well as progress on existing projects.

Mirroracle Journal The first draft was printed with lulu and I am now in fine-tuning mode, editing and compiling the final draft to print. Super excited beyond words.

Luna & Friends I am reserving time in the summer with the boys to create the illustrations and words for the first story in the Luna & Friends series. A summer project for us to share and imagine our play.

Giclee Prints I am in process of editing and compiling my top picks from a collection of art created in the last 24 months. I plan to print and offer each piece in giclee canvas and water color paper, printed with an amazing reproduction company in Southern California called adtech. (quick link to project)

Crystal Altar Grid The first design and materials are finalized and the prototype, to be in production soon with ponoko.

I hope to post new blog entries as each project develops further into fruition in the next few months. A little scary stepping deeper into a commercial venture with my own heArt projects, and am striving to move forward with steady focus, clarity and heart integrity as I share some of the fruits of my bliss with the world.

"Geek at Play" Composition

“Geek at play” is inspired by my passion to embrace and poke fun at my geeky nature.

Lately i’ve been spending a lot of time creating new content for Kurrent. “Geek at Play” is a poke at myself to spend a little time outside of my focus...

"123, I am my choices" Illustration

Inspired by the movie & poem INVICTUS,
Nelson Mandela ... WOW ...
wishing everyone a bountiful, harmonious holiday season, in balance & beyond ...
In gratitude & celebration,
I am my choices ...
Much love everyone.

"Ixtlan" Illustration

“Ixtlan” was inspired by a book I read by Jamie Sams, “Dancing the Dream”, which reveals the seven sacred paths of human spiritual development and explains how exploring each path leads to shifts in our personal relationships with the earth, our loved ones, friends and communities, and most important our own spiritual selves.

For me, the lower part of the illustration depicting the carousel of bicycle riders represents the habitual thought pattern and loopy loop that resides inside every human. The ego, if you will, has many masks and guises that essentially lead to habitual and ego centric living. The waves represent my opinion that the ego centric human perpetuates a tsunami of suffering. The upper part of the illustration, represents the higher self inside all of us, facing his/her ego with calm and mindful non-action. The creature on the left is a mythical Indian (Hindu) symbol, “Makara”, which represents the fertility of love and desire.

"Swinging Through" Illustration

“Every time we choose safety, we reinforce fear.”

Cheri Huber

Inspired by the above quote and the relevance it plays in my own personal growth and being, “Swinging Though” plays with the idea of embracing life as an adventure, with all it’s seemingly scary twists and turns.

"Harmonic Resonance" Illustration

The inspiration for “Harmonic Resonance” sprang from a book I read, “The Holographic Universe” by Michael Talbot, where he discusses physicist David Bohm and Karl Pribram’s concept of the universe as a giant hologram containing both matter and consciousness as a single field of energy. I was inspired beyond words to explore some of these concepts by creating and playing in a mandala like construct containing symbolic form and poetic flow.

Inspired by the following quote:
One day your life will flash before your eyes, make sure its worth watching.

“Master Key” explores the age old concept that love may be the master key to unlocking the doors to the “inner self”.

Measure of darkness

Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness, and the word happy would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness. It is far better take things as they come along with patience and equanimity.

Kurious creations in the making ... launching

Kurious represents my intent to create a vehicle for the sharing and circulation of my own ideas, art and creative play ...

I am happy when i’m immersed in creation. Up to now this creation has been channeled in two areas; my branding and design work through Kurrent, and time spent in the muse of creating my own art. Kurious represents this art and the space inside me where intuition, stillness and inspiration flow with joy and harmony.

In the upcoming months, I hope to bring you a richer expression of Kurious and some
projects of the heart I have been creating. If you would like to stay tuned, click on the RSS feed or join my mailing list.

Thanks, Kourosh.

Something in my liberty

Oh, my, my
Happiness
Coming and going
I watch you look at me
Watch my fever growing
I know just where I am

But how many corners do I have to turn?
How many times do I have to learn
All the love I have is in my mind?

But I'm a lucky man
With fire in my hands

Happiness
Something in my own place
I'm stood here naked
Smiling, I feel no disgrace
With who I am

Gotta love that'll never die
